As a small business running websites (online games actually), after a certain point I realised I could lose everything if I don’t back everything up frequently. I started searching for backup solutions online, only to find there were a huge amount of providers, and I didn’t know who to choose!

Then I had an idea, if other people have this problem, they’ll probably be interested in a review site for online backup and cloud backup solutions!

So that’s how it started, I’ve been building the site ever since, reviewing all providers as much as I can!

How I review

When I look at backup providers I try and think of what personally would be best to me. The following criteria are what I use most often:

  • Company background, legitimacy (you don’t want a dodgy company storing your data!)
  • Price Value (cheap might not actually be that good!)
  • Setup Fees (if you’re subscribing I don’t think there should be any really, but there are in some providers)
  • Upload & Download Speed
  • General User Features (how easy is it to use?)
  • Money Back Policy
  • Control Panel

You won’t ever need to do extensive research, as I’ve done that already!
